Nothing in this game is timed. Take as long as you like.

How to play

  1. A strange customer walks in. The shopkeeper reads their request aloud, and everyone can talk it over.
  2. The shutter comes down. Each player takes the device alone and makes two choices: the gift you would give, and the gift you think most of the room will give.
  3. The shutter opens. Every gift lands at once and the room's favourite gets the crown.

Points

2
You read the favourite correctly.
+1
You read it correctly while giving a different gift yourself.
×2
Sure Thing doubles your points for one customer. You get one per game, and a wrong read spends it.

Ties

If two gifts tie for the most, both are favourites and a read of either one counts. If all three tie, there is no favourite: nobody scores and any Sure Thing comes back.

After six customers the highest score is the best reader of the room. Level scores go to whoever made more right reads. Still level, they share the crown.

A favourite only means most of this room chose it. It says nothing about which gift is best.

Everyone plays in person on this one device. There are no bots and nothing leaves the device.
